Introducing the UCT Sectional Titles Schemes Management online short course
This month’s newsletter is dedicated to discussing our brand new online short course, presented in association with UCT Law @ Work, the UCT Sectional Titles Schemes Management online short course.
This course was developed by Ané de Klerk, who pulled from her past practical experience as a managing agent when drafting a course that deals with the questions, confusion and concerns that owners, trustees, managing agents and attorneys deal with regarding the day-to-day management of these types of community schemes. Having the course accredited by the University of Cape Town only serves to confirm that you are guaranteed a stellar learning experience.
This 10-week course covers various elements of sectional titles scheme management. Eight modules are released over this period, while 2 full weeks are dedicated to submitting 2 practical assignments, ensuring that you are able to focus on getting the most out of your learning times, while having dedicated time to complete your assignments (you can also choose to complete your assignments in stages and use the submission week to polish them up if you prefer). The first assignment week takes place mid-way through the course, and the second in Week 10. In addition, there is no exam requirement, so you will not need to stress about a final test. Achieving an overall grade of more than 50% for the two written assignments will result in receiving a short course certificate in Sectional Titles Schemes Management from UCT.
The course launches on 15 January 2024, and is available at a reduced fee until 14 December 2023, so make sure to get your registration in as soon as possible to ensure that payment can be made before the deadline. We also have payment plans available should you wish to pay while you learn. The options are as follows:
- Reduced once-off payment: R15,300 by 14 December 2023
- Reduced 3-part payment: (R5,500 by 14 December 2023; R5,500 by 2 February 2024; R5,500 by 1 March 2024)
