UCT POPIA and trustee training workshops running this month

In collaboration with UCT Law@work, we are hosting two practical workshops this March tailored to those involved in the governance and management of community schemes.

On 17 March at 9am, Auren will present a focused two-hour session on the application of the POPI Act within bodies corporate and homeowners’ associations, unpacking how the Protection of Personal Information Act operates in practice and what compliance looks like in a scheme environment.

This is followed by a two-day trustee workshop presented by Ané de Klerk on 18 and 19 March, delivered across two sessions from 9am to 11am each day. The programme examines the functions, powers and legal obligations of trustees in depth and is ideally suited to trustees, managing agents, and anyone involved in sectional title management who wants a clear, practical understanding of their responsibilities.
