Property Practitioners Act officially commences

The Property Practitioners Act 22 of 2019, which officially commenced on the 1st of February 2022, has brought about some extensive changes within the property industry, and if you are involved in marketing, managing, financing, letting, renting, hiring, selling or purchasing property, it is incredibly important that you understand how this Act and its Regulations impact you and your livelihood.

While the main focus of this legislation is aimed at regulating the real estate industry, Auren is currently in the process of studying the recently published regulations and will publish an explanatory article in the coming days detailing the most important legal ramifications of the Act and its Regulations on managing agents and other community scheme stakeholders.
